[14K Gold Filled]
Japan Paper hal offers posts made of 14K Gold Filled (14KGF)
for its earrings, necklaces, and rings.
Gold-filled (GF) refers to material where a layer of gold is bonded to a base metal (brass) using high heat and pressure, with the gold making up at least 1/20th of the total weight including the base material.
Compared to gold-plated (GP) items, the gold alloy coating layer is 20 to 30 times thicker. Since the gold alloy is applied with heat and pressure, it is less likely to peel off due to friction and maintains its shine for a long time.
Its main characteristic is that you can enjoy the shine of real gold at a much lower price than pure gold.

As mentioned earlier, the gold-filled layer is much thicker than gold plating, so the surface rarely peels off to expose the base metal. This means it is less likely to cause metal allergies.
However, allergic reactions vary from person to person.
Unfortunately, it is not recommended for those who have experienced allergic reactions to materials like 10K gold in the past.
For customers with severe metal allergies, we also offer earrings made with surgical stainless steel.
For earrings, we use clip-on fitting earrings that are less likely to cause ear pain (alloy, not hypoallergenic).
We offer a variety of metal post options because we want everyone to be able to use our products for a long time without significant burden on their wallets or bodies.
