Icicle Earrings - Five-Line Grid
Icicle Earrings - Five-Line Grid
These earrings have a cool design inspired by dignified icicles.
The two sticks shaped like icicles sway to different rhythms, creating a gorgeous glow next to your ears.
The body of the piece is made of washi paper and glass beads, and the thickness of the glass makes the colors appear deeper, and the pattern is curved and looks larger, making it look more interesting.
The 14k gold-filled earrings have a stick decoration on the back, making them a two- way accessory that can be combined with other earrings.
This purple design uses five-line lattice chiyogami paper.
[Five-line grid]
During the Edo period, many variations in checkered patterns were created by changing the number of vertical and horizontal stripes. Kabuki actors wore kimonos with their own original checkered patterns, and common people copied them, wearing them as if they were "oshi-moyo", which led to various checkered patterns becoming very popular during the Edo period. This is a modern design that arranges five checkered stripes of varying thickness.
[About the material]
Please choose from 14kgf earrings or clip earrings for the post fittings.
The metal of the earring post is 14kgf (14k gold filled ) , which is different from thin gold plating (gp) , and is a jewelry in which 1/20 of the total weight is pressed with gold. Because the gold layer is thick, there is no need to worry about it peeling off even after long-term use. In addition, because the 14k layer is thick, it is said to be less likely to cause metal allergies.
